Webinar Topics:
A consortium of data management and semantic technology advocates have joined to form the Enterprise Knowledge Graph Foundation. The new not-for-profit entity is structured to facilitate the growth of the marketplace for semantic standards, promote the adoption of best practices, and provide coordination across the knowledge graph community.
Topic 1: Business Rationale
Data fragmentation is a significant liability for many firms and that semantic standards are the pathway forward. The core building blocks of EKG technology are mature and available. Coordination is needed to move EKG from proofs-of-concept to mass market acceptance. This is the essential mission of the EKG Foundation.
Topic 2: Defining Principles
The Foundation has defined ten essential principles as guidelines for the development and deployment of an enterprise knowledge graph. The principles emphasize shared meaning and content reuse that are the cornerstone of operating in complex and interconnected environments.
Topic 3: EKG Maturity
The Enterprise Knowledge Graph Maturity Model (EKG/MM) defines capability requirements and introduces standard criteria for measuring EKG maturity. Work has been underway for the past year to codify these requirements and chart the pathway forward. We invite you to participate in this collaborative initiative.
Topic 4: EKG Portals
The Foundation will serve as a master repository of artifacts and host a series of portals (curated access to published ontologies, tools, business case information and other best practice recommendations.
